You've heard it before: Image is everything. For us, images are everything!

Photography and visual media have great potential to communicate – to grab attention, to tell stories, to make business look good. For us, this is the challenge that makes our work exciting and rewarding.

With this blog, we will look at the many aspects of visual media in professional communications. We'll share what we've learned – and continue to learn – in our careers as photography and communications professionals. We invite you to participate with your comments, questions and answers.

Recently, we posed a question to our friends and communications colleagues to get different perspectives on the role photography plays in getting their business news noticed in the press. Not only did they offer great answers, many took time to provide additional insight into photography and news coverage. We'll be sharing these answers and comments in blog posts in the weeks to come. For now, we'll start with one of several that got right to the point:

"Great visuals are vital to cutting through the clutter that media receive on a daily basis! Depending on what type of product you are promoting, great photos can make or break a PR campaign. And, with media, we often find that a great image will sell itself!"
